The building in the background is the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library, which I photographed from the Forum Millennium Plain. The sky was overcast, so I removed all the windows to reveal a blue sky behind. Looking for something to compliment the view, I eventually introduced the metal framework. It is the lattice skylight above the Praire shopping thoroughfare on London St. North in Lowestoft. Once again, I removed the glass to reveal the underlying surface. This was originally intended for the picture entitled ‘Sliema’. I wasn’t too happy with its inclusion because it engendered a very ‘busy’ and distracting complication. Funnily enough, it was was the primary element in the original design, and then gets rejected!! I applied a couple of filters to give the image a stronger projection. The title presented itself without a second thought.
