Working for Ronaldos, one of my jobs was to steam press the white coats worn when scooping ice cream. They were then put on a hanger and covered with a plastic dust cover. I liked the simplicity of the coat hangers, so I grabbed a few and arbitrarily placed them on the ground outside in the sun and photographed them. The shadows were just as interesting. When cutting away the original ground with a Magic Wand tool, some of the hanger or the shadow was cut too, hence Collateral Damage. The cracked paving slab was the ideal background. Have the coat hangers been dropped and subsequently caused the cracks?
